I will guide you through building the habit of regular exercise in a safe and sustainable way. This is the perfect first step after having a having kids, if you've had a long break from exercise or perhaps exercise hasn't been your thing before. The program is focused on building core strength, consistency with exercise and overall fitness so you can move to more intense resistance training when you're ready. You will learn the link between exercise, better health and higher self esteem. Get excited about your exercise journey and build confidence in yourself.

Hey there, thanks for making it this far - I’m so glad you’re here.

I am Stephanie Mason, founder of the Mum Luv Method. 

I'm the mum of 2 beautiful boys and have 17 years experience as a Personal Trainer and 11 years as a Nutritionist.  

I started my fitness journey a few years before I had kids. Back then, I wasn’t really thinking about my health, I just wanted to be skinny, and so I tried endless diets and did hours of cardio. I found it hard to stick to healthy habits, my weight yo-yo’d and was always putting myself down. 

When I became a mum for the first time I found it really hard to adjust to the changes to my body. I lost a lot of confidence and believed that if I lost the weight, I would be happy. So I did what I knew, cardio and restricting my food. 

I did lose weight, it was hard and I was hungry but I reached my goal. And then something happened, I started to find other things about my body that I didn't like and I still felt unhappy within myself. 

That's when I realised that I needed to change my mindset and my relationship with food and exercise. I also got injured because even though I was exercising, I wasn’t strong. So I decided to start lifting weights, it was the safest option. One of the first things I learnt was that I needed to fuel my body. Food became my friend, I started to enjoy my workouts, I got strong and my body changed in a really positive way. 

Being strong has been the most empowering thing I have ever done. Today my focus is health and longevity. I love being able to run around and play with my kids. I am grateful for the energy and health that I experience every day. 

If there is anything I’ve learnt over this time, it’s that most main stream and conventional fitness advice is harmful, especially when it comes to the nuances of travelling through motherhood.

Getting healthy doesn’t come from restrictive diets and intensive cardio. Exercise isn't a punishment. And food isn't a reward for punishing yourself with exercise. This narrative hurts more than it helps.

Becoming truly healthy, and feeling well is built through healthy habits that address how we feel about ourselves, just as much as the actions we take. If we love and care for ourselves, our actions towards our health will reflect this.

True health is achieved through a unique blend of fitness, nutrition, mindset, and self care - I want to help women feel capable in their ability to overcome the challenges they face in a health journey so they can confidently explore different ways to move and nourish their bodies that they love!
